The Blueberry Curveball
Sweet, tart, and so very VANILLA.
Ingredients
-
1½ oz vodka
-
½ oz Disaronno
-
½ oz fresh lemon juice
-
1½–2 tsp VANILLA syrup (or simple syrup, to taste)
-
A good handful of fresh blueberries
-
¼ tsp Sentani VANILLA Extract (The Sentani beans are especially good in this one!)
-
Optional: Splash of club soda for fizz
VANILLA Syrup
-
½ oz VANILLA sugar
-
½ oz water
Warm over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat, cool, and store in a small jar or bottle — keeps up to two weeks in the fridge.
Instructions
-
Muddle the blueberries in a shaker.
-
Add ¼ tsp Sentani VANILLA Extract and stir — it releases that bright, tropical VANILLA aroma that makes this cocktail shine.
-
Add vodka, Disaronno, lemon juice, and VANILLA syrup.
-
Fill with ice and shake until cold and slightly thickened.
-
Strain into a coupe or martini glass.
-
Add a splash of club soda if you like it fizzy.
-
Garnish with a few blueberries and a lemon twist — or spear blueberries onto a vanilla bean for the perfect finish.
Dodger Reflections
The series isn’t over yet — and neither is our spirit.
Every inning tells a story, every pitch a chance to turn things around.
The Blueberry Curveball is my little toast to the tension, the talent, and the hope that still hangs in the air.
