Earlier this week, she shared her recipe for Pumpkin Spice Vanilla Extract which we thought would be perfect to highlight before fall and baking season have officially begun! We are so excited to share her recipe in her own words and picture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. VanillaPura Vanilla Beans
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon Whole Allspice Berries
  • 1 Teaspoon Whole Cloves
  • 2 Whole Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Vodka (Use any vodka you prefer)
  • Pint jar

Instructions

  1. Split vanilla beans length wise.
  2. Break Cinnamon sticks into several pieces.
  3. Crack whole nutmeg with mortar and pestle.
  4. Combine all ingredients into a glass pint jar.
  5. Seal tightly and let stand for 6 to 12 months (Make sure to shake the jar every 1-2 days).
NOTE – This recipe can be doubled and tripled. Makes 8 oz of extract.

This recipe is ready in 6-12 mos. Depending on your liking. Once the extract is finished, you could ground up the spices and use it as a holiday spice blend and add it to your holiday baking.

I love Pumpkin Spice Coffee and can’t wait until mine is ready to use. I can also use this in my pumpkin spice bars w/cream cheese frosting. Oh so many treats…

This sounds amazing, but I’m wondering what you would use it in?

This sounds fantastic and I’ll be starting a batch for next year. If I may, I’d suggest that you put a link to make your recipes savable. Like a changeable PDF format or something. Thanks for all of the info you have on your site.

This sounds amazing. I wish I could have some ready for this fall, but I will be making some for next year when my order arrives. 👏
