Lease a Zip Code

Lease a zip code and earn money on every sale made from that zip code for 12 months. 

VanillaPura is expanding its sales force, creating opportunities for you to make money at home. Our "lease-a-zip-code" program is as simple as it sounds:

  1. You lease the rights to any available zip code (up to 3) that you choose. 
  2. Each zip code can be leased by one person only. 
  3. The price of each zip code is 10% of the total sales generated from that zip code over the previous 12 months. (Minimum price of $100 to pay for the admin, set up and maintenance of leasees.)
  4. After leasing the zip code, you will earn 10% on all shipped net sales (sales minus returns and discounts) made from that zip code for 12 months. This includes sales from existing customers* + sales from new customers that you add. 
  5. Commissions are paid quarterly based on the following schedule:
    1. Q1 Commissions paid by May 30th
    2. Q2 Commissions paid by August 30th
    3. Q3 Commissions paid by November 30th
    4. Q4 Commissions paid by February 28th
  6. You work within the zip code(s) you own to increase revenue by sharing our brand on your social media, local events, hosting extract making parties, signing up affiliates, etc. 
  7. At the end of 12 months, your lease of each zip code automatically terminates, but can be renewed for your original purchase price for another 12 months. Your lease can also be sold to a new buyer at a higher price.  This means that if you increased sales in your zip code, your renewal lease does not bill you for the increase you generated. 

Here is an example of what zip code leasing looks like over a 1 year period:

  1. Say you want to lease zip code 12345
  2. Let's assume that in the past 12 months, orders from zip code 12345 totaled $1,000.00. 
  3. You can lease the exclusive rights to that zip code today for the next 12 months for $100.00. (10% of the $1,000.00 in 12 month revenue.) 
  4. Now you earn a 10% commission on every* sale that is generated from that zip code over the next 12 months including:
    1. Recurring sales* from existing customers in your zip code. 
    2. New sales from new products that VanillaPura will introduce over the next 12 months. 
    3. New sales from new promotions launched by VanillaPura over the next 12 months. 
    4. New sales generated by affiliates in other zip codes whose efforts result in increased sales in your zip code.
    5. New sales generated by all of your efforts, local marketing, parties, etc. 
  5. As a result of all of the above, say that sales in your zip code grew from $1,000 to $3,000 during your first year. You earned $300 in commission from the $3,000 in net sales. 
  6. At the conclusion of your 12 months, you have the option to do one of the following:
    1. You can renew your zip code exclusivity lease for 1 more year at the original price of $100.00. 
    2. You can simply walk away and let your lease terminate. 
    3. You can find a buyer for your zip code and sell the lease to the new buyer for 10% of the previous 12 months in sales. So you can sell the rights to your zip code that you purchased for $100, for $300.*
    4. VanillaPura may be able to find a buyer for you for a fee of 20%

You noticed that there are a few **** noted above as there are a few important exclusions/caveats:

  • Any sales generated by large wholesale accounts procured by VanillaPura are excluded from your commissions. Say, for sample, that a company called "Jo's Baking" is in your zip code and VanillaPura secures a large $1,000/yr wholesale account with them that required a substantial volume discount. Orders from that account will be excluded from your commission and are also excluded for the lease price when the price of your lease is calculated. 
  • Wholesale orders that you bring to us will be included in your commissions. However, if those accounts require significant, ongoing volume discounts, then a custom commission rate will be established on those accounts that takes into consideration lost margin from discounting. 
  • When you sell your zip code lease to another buyer, VanillaPura must approve the buyer and process the lease transfer. A 20% processing fee will be charged by VanillaPura on the sales price to cover the cost of approving, onboarding and training the new zip code owner.
