  2. Add 1–2 teaspoons vanilla extract (adjust to preference)

  3. Fill the remainder with distilled water

Use lightly on linens or into the air. Always spot-test fabrics first.

2. Vanilla Simmer Pot

Instant warmth and cozy atmosphere.

This is the fastest way to make a home feel welcoming.

Ingredients

  • Water

  • 1–2 vanilla beans (spent or fresh)

  • Optional additions: orange peels, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise

Instructions

  1. Fill a small pot halfway with water

  2. Add vanilla beans and optional spices.

  3. Bring to a gentle simmer

  4. Add water as needed throughout the day

The scent is warm, layered, and comforting without being heavy.

3. Oven-Dried Spent Vanilla Beans

Scent + sustainability in one step.

Spent vanilla beans still have so much to offer—both in aroma and future use.

Why it works
As the beans dry, they release a gentle vanilla scent into the kitchen. Once dry, they’re ready to be used for vanilla sugar, powder, or paste.

Instructions

  1. Lay the vanilla beans flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet

  2. Dry in the oven at 170–180°F for 1–2 hours, checking occasionally

  3. Turn off the oven and allow beans to cool completely

Your kitchen will smell incredible—and nothing goes to waste.
