Elle fait des merveilles avec les oranges et les citrons, et voici sa célèbre recette de sucre à l'orange. Une fois mon extrait d'orange terminé, j'ai utilisé les écorces pour faire du sucre d'orange additionné d'une gousse de vanille.

J'ai égoutté l'extrait et ajouté 8 tasses de sucre dans un plat allant au four avec mes zestes d'orange usagés pour les faire sécher. Quand c'était presque sec j'ai mis au four à 170F. Remuer toutes les 10 à 50 minutes. Une fois sec, je le laisse refroidir complètement. Il est resté toute la nuit. Le lendemain matin, j'ai retiré les écorces et un peu de sucre de la poêle et je les ai placés dans un mixeur pour broyer les écorces. Je les ai remis dans le sucre et j'ai ajouté 2 tasses supplémentaires de sucre et une gousse de vanille. Il a une saveur et une odeur excellentes ! Sucre d'orange avec une pointe de vanille 😋
