Great price!!
I had a gift vanilla bean. Just one but it was a long one. I made extract and it was great. I bought what was supposed to be 2 vanilla beans but there was only 1 skinny bean. 4 oz of moist, fragrant beans looks like the was to go. Now time will tell when my extract is finished.
So sad these are sold out! I heard about these online and everyone must have too, so they must be amazing! Hopefully these will restock and I can get a chance to order and try! I have signed up for notifications.
I just love these beautiful beans. If you haven't tried them you need to.
Gorgeous beans! The black magic blend never disappoints. They are plump and oily and smell amazing. Can’t wait for the extract to be ready!
I love the Madagascar beans. So oily
The Madagascar beans are swimming in Reign Cane vodka. Now for the waiting!
Gorgeous giant beans! Pompona pack is one of my faves!
I can't wait for this to finish exiting. I will be great for next summer baking.
These beams were top notch!
I've purchased several extract bottles from VanillaPura. However, the Rimatara bottles are one of my top two favorites! I love the simplicity of the bottle shape, the synthetic cork stopper, and that it's really heavy duty. Just an amazing bottle!
I was so impressed with these beans. They are perfect for my vanilla extract. I must give props to customer service because they quickly corrected a mistake I had made. This is the first time I’ve done business with VanillaPura and I’m very happy.
The oil in these was superb. I see a lot of vanilla beans come to me that are dry grade A beans, but these were completely oily. That’s a wonderful thing.
Got two of the 8.5 ounce. They are nice and heavy and beautiful. The cap fits very snuggly and they stack well in the cabinet. I would love to order a case but a bit too pricey for my budget.
It smelled amazing!! I cannot wait for the extract to be ready next year.

Just started my first batch of sous vide extract. 11 oz. of vanilla beans and 1750 ml‘s of vodka. Going to run for four days at 124°. Fingers crossed.
Hi Tammy! Welcome to the world of vanilla! That is such a brilliant question, and we have a lot of different vanilla beans to choose from! You could start by taking our “Vanilla Extract Making Quiz”, this hopefully provide some good vanilla suggestions. The quiz can be found here

Let us know if you have any other questions :-)
how do you pick which vanilla beans to buy. I am a beginner and always buy vanilla down in Mexico for cheap and love it.
I would like to start making my own.

Hi Mary! If you’d like to make 1/2 strength vanilla extract then simply 1/2 the weight of vanilla that the calculator calculates. We wouldn’t recommend 1/2 fold though as the vanilla flavor might not be prominent enough. Hopefully this answers your question but let us know if we can help in any other way :-)
How do I calculate 1/2 fold?
Hi Linda! Vanilla Beans vary a lot in size so we prefer to weigh our beans to make sure we have the right amount. We recommend 1 oz of beans for every 8oz of alcohol. So for 5oz of alcohol you would need 0.6oz of beans for a single fold extract. For double fold extract you would need 1.2oz. Hope this helps, but let us know if you have any other questions :-)

I’m super excited to try these vanilla beans as I am a new creator of exquisite vanilla, which will be age 12 to 18 months!
My first extract experience!
Welcome Loraine! It’s going to be fun! Let us know if we can help along the way. Happy Extracting!
I’m excited to get started with my vanilla extract for next Christmas.
Hi Susan! Great point, you can absolutely still go with the general rule of 1oz of beans to 8oz of alcohol, this tool is just helpful for those times when you have more or less alcohol or want to try making a double fold extract, or if you want to check your calculations!
What happened the the “rule” of 1oz beans to 8oz alcohol?? Why the change?
This is such a great tool for novice vanilla extract makers! It completely takes the guess work or calculator gymnastics out of the equation!
