One of our favorite spices: cinnamon. This spice is actually obtained from the bark of a tree. The cinnamon stick is the rolled up, dried inner bark of a cinnamon tree.
We visited a plantation in Jamaica where cinnamon trees were actually the host of vanilla bean vines. In one of our pictures to the left, you can see the white patches of the cinnamon tree branch in the background, with vanilla beans growing in the foreground. Another picture shows an isolated cinnamon tree.
Of course, the uses of cinnamon are many, largely related to sweet and savory food applications. Like all of our spices, our cinnamon is 100% pure and all-natural with no additives.
