A private Google Meet that will be sent to each student before class. A Google Meet will allow for questions, answers and fun back-and-forth conversations with Paul and/or Jill, the founders of VanillaPura.

This class is designed for first-time extract makers that aren't sure where to begin. We will give you a basic overview of vanilla beans and spirits. Grade A vs. Grade B. Single fold vs. double fold. Difference in taste between vanilla bean origins and vanilla bean species. The best alcohol to select for your first extract and a recipe review to make sure your first extract turns out great.

Get expert training for extract making from the founders of VanillaPura!
Paul & Jill Fulton, owners of VanillaPura, are excited to offer live, interactive extract-making classes from their kitchen with you! Introducing new people to extract making is what VanillaPura is all about!
This class will focus on the # 1 question from new extract makers: How do I begin? We will discuss the many vanilla bean flavor options, various spirits that can be used and we will orient you on all of the many tools at your disposal to help you along the way.
Why do the founders of VanillaPura take time to do these classes every week?
Because VanillaPura began with a small extract making party in 2016. Paul and Jill love recreating that moment with new extract makers every week and they know how important it is to start on the right foot so you avoid costly mistakes. It's the class they wish they would have had back in 2016. It's a small class so you will have time to talk to them, ask questions and make sure that your first extract turns out great! People are at the heart of VanillaPura, and they enjoy meeting new people every week.
VP University classes are designed to be personal, with live interaction and conversation. Class sizes will be limited to just 7-30 students so there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get to know Paul and/or Jill along with the other students even more.
Classes will be held using Google Meet. One week before the class, an email will be sent to each student that will include a link to the Google Meet Meeting to access the class.
Students are asked to request to join the meeting 10 minutes before start time so the class can begin with all students on time.
Each student will be sent a certificate of completion at the conclusion of class.
Classes are fully refundable until 1 week before the class. Classes can be cancelled and fully refunded by the administrators if a minimum number of students do not register.
