Vanilla Spiced Cranberry Sauce

I wait all year for this scrumptious delight so I'm sharing my Recipe. I make this the weekend prior to Thanksgiving so it has time to sit and savor

Vanilla Spiced Cranberry Sauce
2 bags Cranberries
2 cups Water
1.5 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Vanilla Sugar
4 Orange Slices
1 Vanilla Bean, halfed
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Small Ginger Root, chopped (optional)
Add everything to the saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring often to desired thickness. Remove cinnamon stick and divide the Vanilla beans into each container. Refrigerate and serve. Makes 3 pint containers.
